IYAKI’s first collection began with the Arctic.

Many people think of the Arctic as a cold and empty place.

But we chose to see it a little differently.

The Arctic is a place of endless, pure white landscapes.

A world made almost entirely of a single color.
And within it, even the smallest life becomes more vivid.

The footprints left by a polar bear,
a cub walking beside its mother,
a living creature moving slowly in the distance.

Against the pure white landscape,
their presence becomes even clearer.

We found something beautiful in that.

Beauty does not always come from abundance.
Sometimes, it reveals itself more clearly
in a landscape stripped back to its simplest form.

That is why IYAKI’s first collection began with the Arctic.

What we wanted to share with children was not simply the Arctic itself,
but a way of seeing a world where even the smallest life
shines more brightly against a landscape of pure white.
